Check your mining address

Your Obelisk needs to know where to send the coins it mines, and – depending on your pool – you may set this mine-to address in the Pools tab of your Obelisk Dashboard. A savvy hacker might be sneaky enough to not take your system offline, but rather have it work for them – if someone logs into your Obelisk Dashboard, they can change the address your Obelisk is mining to. A miner could work for months or years, sending coins to an address that isn't yours if you don't periodically verify the mining address.

Some pools use the Pools tab info as it was originally intended – a username and password. You'll then set your mine-to address by looking into the pool's website. If this is the case, make sure your keep your pool login info safe, and check to make sure your login info wasn't altered.
  1. Log in to your Obelisk Dashboard.
Verify you've changed your Dashboard password for enhanced security.
  2. Go to the Pools tab.
  3. Verify that the address listed as your Worker address is one that you control.

Check with your pool to see if they offer built-in address monitoring. This can act as another layer of protection.
